Bryan F. Casey is the Assistant Vice President and Controller at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Mr. Casey leads the departments of Financial Accounting and Reporting, the Office of Contract and Grant Accounting, Peoplesoft Support, Plant Accounting and Inventory Control, as well as, the Department of Business Services, which oversees Accounts Payable, Working Fund Operations and the Travel System.
Prior to joining UMBC, Mr. Casey served in the General Accounting Office of the University of Maryland, College Park as the Interim Controller.
Prior to his tenure in Higher Education Mr. Casey worked in the private sector. His diverse experience includes roles as the Chief Financial Officer for a hospitality firm and a medical device company. Mr. Casey also spent 9 years as an entrepreneur operating his own company.
Mr. Casey is a proud, lifelong resident and benefactor of the Maryland public school system. He attended grade school in Middletown, Maryland, received his bachelor’s degree from Towson University and his MBA from the University of Maryland, College Park
